The NSL Profile features an aluminum channel with a choice of insert materials for the tread and riser, enabling the creation of a strong, contrasting solid band of color. This profile is designed to comply with the guidance in Approved Document M. When selecting the insert colors, it's important to consider the Light Reflective Value (LRV) of the surrounding floor covering and the stair nosing itself, ensuring a difference greater than a factor of 30 for sufficient contrast.
The profile is supplied in a Mill finish as standard, with options for anodized and powder-coated finishes available. It features an external grade Tredsafe insert, which is made from a special blend of PVC, silica quartz, and polymeric plasticizer. This combination creates a homogeneous, hard-wearing, anti-slip surface suitable for both wet and dry conditions. The insert’s three-dimensional pyramid pattern enhances slip resistance in various environments.
